After canceled flights, snowstorms and a harrowing journey North (which included First Class and lots of champagne..) - Jamie, Katie and Paul finally arrived in Alaska- Only one day late for Christmas! The adventures that followed included dog-mushing, ravioli-making, a bonfire, and lots and lots of cribbage..

Lazy Sunday

One of the nice things about living in a big city is enjoying gatherings like these just down the street. This is in Praça São Salvador. It isn't very well-known, and is sort of hidden away between Laranjeiras and Largo do Machado. I think it is one of the best spots in Rio. On Sundays this group of musicians gets together and plays Chorinho.

Crawfish Boil!

Sandy, Simon, Gabe and Jamie went over to Deadwood Creek to hunt for crawfish. It hit about 70 degrees in the valley that day which made the cold water bearable. Everyone had a great time chasing crawfish up and down the creek, and the boil was fun and delicious. We've decided to make crawfish a regular part of the Baldwin diet.
